Take the word "Sane" into context. Tecnically if you're sane in an insane world, you'd be normal, and everyone else would be whack. Just because everyone and everyone else would be insane, doesn't change the meaning of the words "sane" and "insane". So basically, if you're insane, and the world is insane, then you're still insane. If you're sane in an insane world, then you're still sane. The only way to change this factor is if in the insane world, then meaning of sane and insane were the same. Because people in the insane world would refer to everyday people as insane, whack, nuts, etc.; and refer to sane people as normal and such (thus when they say normal, they mean abnormal, but if everything else is abnormal and you're normal then from the insane people's aspect you'd be insane, but they'd say you were sane, but being sane in their world means you're insane in this one). The whole idea is complex to explain and to understand, but in the simplest terms:

The context would not change or reverse, however the aspect would.

Define sane. If you mean it as the standard mentality, then a sane person in our world would be insane in our definition of an insane world. However, if you define sane as the actual sanity of mind, then a sane person in an insane world would be the only sane one, surrounded by a bunch of lunatics. At that point though it's all a question of how you define sanity of mind. In my definition, we think of sanity of mind as that which helps the survival of the society in which we live in. Therefore, if a society survived off of our definition of insanity, then insanity would be sane, but only in that world.

yes! if the standard of sanity was crazy, then being crazy would be normal. For example, if everyone thought it was sane to wear socks on your hands and everyone did it then yeah it would be sane because that would be the standard....so if someone else wore them on their feet they would be crazy! does that make sense?
