I'm considering a job on Staten Island at a school, but I don't want to live there. Where's a good place in NYC to live, but still be able to get to Staten Island by public transportation in under an hour? Thanks.

What are your personal experiences with shared shuttle services vs a private car service?

I was looking at the airport shuttle(http://www.nyairportservice.com/fares.html), but am not particularly cool with schlepping luggage all over the city.

The internet is littered with negative reviews for SuperShuttle, so I've ruled that out...any experiences with AirLink?

I will be travelling alone, and my return trip is in the evening, so I am considering a car service for that (https://carmellimo.com/NYApSrvc/Job_FromTo.jsp)

Any recommendations or suggestions, or feedback about the companies I've named?

Thanks alot for your input!

It can be either a restaurant or empty space/banquet facility. Must hold 700 SEATED guests for dinner, not a standup cocktail party. thanks in advance!!

Can you give me some hints and tips as to what to do, what not to do, places to go, how to pay, best times to travel etc ?
