Can't think of any hotels near the Cloisters, in fact I don't think there are any up there. Try a hotel in midtown or Ft Lee NJ. It is easy to get to the Cloisters by subway. Spring is a great time to visit. The gardens are beautiful. And for lunch you could try some Cuban Chinese food in Washington Hgts.

Unfortunately there are no hotels near the Clositers Museum located in Fort Tryon Park in Washington Heights.
The closest & most decent hotel will probably be either: a) the Four Seasons (located on 57 street/between 5th & Madison), b) unsure of the hotel name but its on the corner of Central Park West & Columbus Circle, c) Hilton on 6th avenue & W. 53rd Street, d) Shearton on 7th avenue/between 52nd & 53rd streets.
You will have to take either a cab or public transportation up to the Cloisters. If you're taking a cab, it will take you directly to the entrance, if you're taking a bus (take the bus that goes up Broadway) & if you're taking the train (take the A up to 179 street).
