What are your personal experiences with shared shuttle services vs a private car service?

I was looking at the airport shuttle(http://www.nyairportservice.com/fares.html), but am not particularly cool with schlepping luggage all over the city.

The internet is littered with negative reviews for SuperShuttle, so I've ruled that out...any experiences with AirLink?

I will be travelling alone, and my return trip is in the evening, so I am considering a car service for that (https://carmellimo.com/NYApSrvc/Job_FromTo.jsp)

Any recommendations or suggestions, or feedback about the companies I've named?

Thanks alot for your input!

Please, trust me. I have travelled so many times out of New York and for some reason I get screwed and end up back at night alone. Take the Air Train from La Guardia Airport. It is like five dollars, get a metro card. Then when you pull to Jamaica Station you take Long Island Railroad city fare to Penn Station. I just saved you so much money and time. There is a lot of traffic to and from the airport. You can get a cab from Penn Station to your hotel, exit out of the 7th ave entrance, there is a cab stand there. All the places I have mentioned have elevators and escalators.

Note: THE AIRTRAIN IS NOT FROM LAGUARDIA. It's from JFK. There are buses for like $10 or $15 available at LGA that take you to 42nd Street Grand Central or 34th Street Penn Station and those are totally fine, easy and not too expensive. Don't get a car service. That's a waste and expensive. A yellow cab will cost you from $20-$30 to the city (including tip). Just know where you're going!

Apparently, the major consideration for your trip is convenience. If you can afford it, simply take the car service/taxi. If you're going to be moving around in manhattan, perhaps you should considering asking your first stop for some accommodation so you can leave your luggage there; perhaps with the doorman/in the lobby area.
