When I was in high school I used a lot of drugs to escape NJ but that didn't work. It was fun but it didn't work. I then moved to Upstate New York, at first, and then, realizing that wasn't far away enough, hitchhiked to Colorado. I missed the color green and moved back to NNY only to move to again but this time to Europe. Now THAT seems to be far away enough. However, now I find I miss it, New Jersey, somewhat. No matter how bad it was for me to have lived there I got a pretty good public education and whenever I meet someone from NJ I know I can trust that person to "watch my back", if you know what I mean.

If you have a college degree you could always try joining the Peace Corps. A great way to serve your country and not have anyone shooting at you while you're doing it.

Do like me and move to one of the borughs, just not Staten Island because you might as well stay in Jersey. As being originally from Jersey I find that NYC is enough like Jersey and different enough to be perfect for anyone from Jersey

Depends where you are in NJ. If you are in the central part of NJ, you can use the Garden State Parkway. If you are in the Northern Part...get on Route 17 to the NY State Thourway I spelled it wrong, it is early in the mountain state).
Or if you live in the Southren part of NJ...you can use NJ Turnpike (if you can stand the smells!)

I went to GA. Join the Air Force...unless you volunteer to go to McGuire AFB, you'll never have to go back again! I haven't been back in 22 years and I don't miss it a bit!
