My wife and I are going to New York for 5 days and Toronto for 5 days. Of course i already know the statue of liberty, i got yankees tickets already, going to ground zero and all the normal famous stuff. Is there anything else in New York maybe not so well known that i shouldnt miss? I dont much of anything about Toronto so any help there would be good?

I want to go to NYC for the long weekend, but don't have the funds to stay in the city itself. I'm trying to find a place in New Jersey (A Best WEstern) that would still be close enough to make the trip into NYC cheap and accessible. Which of the cities would you recommend I could stay in? Rahway, Fairfield, Morristown, Ramsey?

Both California and New york are Expensive-What do you think

In California especially the bay area-A NICE Stuido apt would cost 1100-1200$,You can find a deal on craigslist for $750-$800.+ you need a car to get around thats easily atleast $100 a mont-that is if you buy an old car-money down.-So youre spedning MINIMUM-$900

In New York you can find a cheap apartment in queens,brooklyn-studio for $900-$1000.But you dont need a car-you just need a $70 bus pass that will get you unlimited rides on the bus and the subway.

So what do you think???.
New york is really not that expensive compared to Califronia. But it is expensive from someone moving from say Kansas,Vegas. But people moving from California shouldnt find NYC Expensive-Right?
What do you think???

I live in the Hudson Valley. What is the closest beach location in New Jersey that is clean that I could go to for the day. Point Pleasant is about 2 hours from me and has a great reputation, but I'm wondering if there's a beach even closer. No frills required (boardwalk attractions), just a family beach that's clean.

Also, what should I expect a taxi from La Guardia to said address to cost?
