I live in the Hudson Valley. What is the closest beach location in New Jersey that is clean that I could go to for the day. Point Pleasant is about 2 hours from me and has a great reputation, but I'm wondering if there's a beach even closer. No frills required (boardwalk attractions), just a family beach that's clean.

Ocean Grove is nice, it's a little closer than Pt. Pleasant, and very family- oriented. Sandy Hook is the closest but I haven't been there so I can't really tell you how nice it is. Most of the beaches between Sandy Hook and Ocean Grove are not so hot.

Try Keansburg. It's 20-30 minutes closer than PP. I can't speak for what's there though. Never been there personally. The further you go south, the better the beaches, and beach-goers.

I went there a some month in the previous and that i theory it became into fairly fairly! actual diverse timber haha...the neighborhoods regarded intense-sensible as well...I went each and each of how right down to Princeton and went through this little city and it regarded fairly "community-ish" and prefer countless of us knew one yet another. in spite of the reality that, I stay in San Diego and that i fairly a lot died via climate. plenty too humid and heat for me haha. yet diverse than that very intense-sensible!
