I want to go to NYC for the long weekend, but don't have the funds to stay in the city itself. I'm trying to find a place in New Jersey (A Best WEstern) that would still be close enough to make the trip into NYC cheap and accessible. Which of the cities would you recommend I could stay in? Rahway, Fairfield, Morristown, Ramsey?

Do NOT stay in Newark! I live in Morristown and there are no Best Westerns here but we do have a train station that will take you into Penn Station which is convenient. Fairfield is closer to the city but you will have to drive in. I don't think Rahway or Ramsey is very close.

Seriously... stay in Newark, Hoboken, or Jersey City. You can take a quick and cheap train from all of them into Manhattan any time.
