As Wizard said, have the information for your sister with you and easily accessible, and have a return ticket.

Also, have paystubs or other proof you have a job in your home country, including a letter from your employer saying which day you are expected back to work. You will also want proof (rental stubs, letter from landlord, or proof of ownership) that you have a place to live in your home country. If you are a student, you will need transcripts or other proof of that, and something to show when you are expected to return to classes.

Detail familly members in your home country, especially if you have children, and provide information about them, your relationship to them (whether it is close, etc).

If you are involved with any other community centers, agencies, charities, place of worship, detail all of this, and include letters from each outlining your involvement with them.

Also, you will want to have enough money with you to cover the time you plan to be in the US, AND receipts to show what money you have in your home country available.

Good luck.

To prove that you have strong ties, bring proof of your current employment in the country you're staying in, i.e; paystubs. Or if you're a student, proof that you're going to college, i.e; Class schedule. Make sure you have a return ticket and enough money in the bank for the period of your stay. Also proof that you own/rent property would help.

Have your sisters name, address, and telephone number handy when making your application. Have a return trip ticket available to show that you are actually planning to leave the country before your visa expires.
