I am travelling to NY in 2 weeks. A friend is booking a hostel near Times Square. Which airport is best - not necessarily the closest but rather most effective at costing me the least to get to my hostel and then get back to the airport when I return?

Also- what is the best form of transportation that will get me to the hostel in a reasonable amount of time? I believe that the flights all arrive around 5 pm - rush hour?

I'd like the hotel to be in a safe and central location and although willing to splash out I really want to stay somewhere cool but reasonably priced. I've seen the Hudson and wondered if this is a cool place to stay?

My reservation for 9/15/06 at Radisson Hotel JFK Airport was made on 4/23, my charge card was charged for the amount of 164.76, Was american express gift card. Have misplaced my receipt, after checking out, noted that another of my cards had been charged for $263 +, but was out of the country until 9/28. I have been double charged. Stayed again at same hotel on 9/28 under my daughter's name. Upon calling the hotel I am told that they have no record of either stay at the hotel. Please assist, as I would like to talk to someone on the phone. My reservation conformation is 35TQ5FQ. The reservation was made while the hotel was the Radisson, now is owned by Hilton.

What is the quickest and cheapest way to travel from Rochester to NYC. Not by plane. : ) I need a few routes that aren't going to eat up my money by the time I am halfway there. I need to go from the town of Pittsford/Rochester, to Suny Purchase College. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When is the best time to visit NYC and Boston? Is January a bad time? I heard there's lots of snow storms during that period. But the only time I can travel is December-January. What can I do during the winter months in NY n Boston?
