You should have a return or onward ticket and an address where you will be staying. Take time to fill out the immigration form and don't make any mistakes.

If you are a UK citizen, which I presume since you talk about bringing UK bills, then entry under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) should not cause you any difficulty.

However, I did happen to see your other question about getting married in NJ. If you get married when you enter on the VWP, you may be committing fraud since a fiance would need a visa (K visa) to come to the US to get married. If you wait at least 60, but preferably 90 days then that overcomes the fraud question.

Good luck, and congratulations if you are getting married.

We have a weekly flight to Sanford Orlando and have never heard of such problems encountered by passengers. Usually as long as you can provide an address for your stay be it a friends or the hotel you will be ok. Your passport will be checked at the airport and those details will be taken before you leave the UK. Have no fear... just enjoy your holiday!

Whatever papers you have to show, the better... but don't take it out until they ask for it.

Answer the questions politely and briefly (make no jokes!), only elaborating when they ask for specifics.

Only a small percentage have any problems, otrher than the lines.

As an American, It wont be as bad as you think, trust me! As long as you have your passport, address of hotel, friend...whoever you may be staying with, and I think that is sufficient enough. They aren't going to turn you away!!! Have a safe trip!! Enjoy yourself!!!
