What is the quickest and cheapest way to travel from Rochester to NYC. Not by plane. : ) I need a few routes that aren't going to eat up my money by the time I am halfway there. I need to go from the town of Pittsford/Rochester, to Suny Purchase College. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm from Roch. too. Take the Thruway. It's about 8 hours. Mapquest would be your best answer.
Take some Bill Gray's and white hots with you!!

I'd say you should drive. Purchase isn't really that close to New York City anyway.
