Usually it's near 20-30 degrees, and sometimes it snows lightly. There have been milder nights 40-50 degrees, but expect closer to 30 and dress for it if you plan to stand still for hours in Times Square. No hot chocolate nor other liquids allowed while waiting.

Last year it was like 50 or 60 degrees... it was REALLY warm, but damp and rainy... but we were all in t-shirts or light sweaters, it was really strange. I remember before that from 2000 and upwards that it was REALLY frigid cold... like in the 20s and below!
