Is 2 and half hours enough time to get my checked in laugages, catch a ride to JFK, pass through the security checks and still catch my flight. I'm travelling with 2 big suitcases and a carry on bag. I live in central NJ and want to spend four days writing songs...someplace relatively safe and clean...need a private single room...where I won't bother anyone and vice versa. Somewhere within 100 miles of the ny/nj area, PA ok too.

I'm looking for a clean, quiet hotel or bed & breakfast in New York City for a few nights at the end of December.

Would like to pay around $100 a night, less if possible.

Doesn't matter which neighborhood, as long as it's on the subway line.

Any suggestions?
