I am an American Citizen. I see that I can apply for British Citizenship IF my parent is a citizen of Britain.

My father is an American Citizen. His mother, however, is a British Citizen. Can't he apply for citizenship in Britain?

If he does, and is approved (why wouldn't he?) I would then be able to apply for British Citizenship, correct? OR, is this going to far down the family line?

If written letters, I've went onto the britainusa.com website, I've tried calling, but no answers. If you know, please answer, I would appreciate it.

My daughter (16) is travelling up to the Lakes and needs to change from Bus to train to continue on to Barrow, I need to know how far is it between Preston Bus Station and Preston train station, Could you walk it? Is there a bus, and could anyone draw a map. As I have looked on the net but can't find anything that shows both points.

If you go through the full immigration process for another country, are you soley a national of that country, or do you then have dual nationality?

E.g. if you're british and emigrate to australia, can you only visit britain as a tourist with a restricted length stay?
