My daughter (16) is travelling up to the Lakes and needs to change from Bus to train to continue on to Barrow, I need to know how far is it between Preston Bus Station and Preston train station, Could you walk it? Is there a bus, and could anyone draw a map. As I have looked on the net but can't find anything that shows both points.

The bus station and railway station are relatively close - maybe 10 mins - 15 mins walk without a lot of luggage. However I know sometimes the buses up to Barrow from Preston are rail replacement buses, and these go direct from Preston train station, so you need to check.
If she does have to go from one to another the route is simple and well signed. The bus station is near the market and the train station is right across from Debenhams and the Fishergate Centre.

The Bus Station and Train station are in the same place, so I guess both. But before I reach there, I have to pass by two night clubs, a porno store, an alleged witch house, and many other facilities. Pleasant neighborhood, eh?!

about .23 of a mile on google earth, follow any signs for the fishergate shopping centre, the sttion is very close to that.
I hope she enjoys her visit to the Lakes.

About a mile. its really eay to get too its just straight through the town centre.
