Has it got an MOT?
Have you got insurance?
Is the car taxed?

If so, you can drive it. If not, you will get pulled over and done. A car has to be roadworthy - and it does not sound as if it is! So the car could cost you a great deal more than the £2.50!

If the brakes do not work, how are you going to feel if you knock someone over because you cannot stop?

Buy another Capri and use this one for spares!

Sounds like you have bought yourself a project. Cars like this, sometimes they just need a few things done, and make for cheap and reliable trasport for years, sometimes you will find you have got yourself a money pit, as it starts to need welding, leak oil, need stuff replacing..

It is going to cost you five hundred quid upwars to get it sorted, taxed, mot'd and all that, so make sure it is a car you think will be worth it - anything other than the basic 1.6 crapii and you may have a collectors car one day, something unusual at least.

Wow!!! that's brilliant for £2.50, my friend's uncle races ford capri mk2s on the semi-pro classic car circuit, get everything repaired, get a licence, and there you go! youre now a racing driver! lol I dont know the ins-and-out of it all, but give it a go!

If it has a good motor and suspension and the panels are ok, it may be worth spending a few quid on it. Make a few calls to car wreckers and get an idea of the costs of the parts you need. I hope your mechanically minded.

You could sell it for part and scrap, andmake a handsome profit to invest in a Capri (coolest car ever) that is road safe or close to it.

BTW, why didn;t the guy give it to you for free. £2.50?????? Was it worth it. You can;t even buy 10 fags for that!
