For example, which was the second built? Which is the longest? Which has the most junctions? How are they numbered? Why are some numbers missing?

Does anyone have a handy URL?

Incidentally, old AA handbooks used to have a really handy summary of major motorways showing junctions, etc. Anyone know where I could get hold of one of these?!

Can anyone give me the reason for this, are there any driving instructors out there who know or anyone else ? And if you are really cleaver, can you tell me why the road stop sign is shaped the way it is. I have looked in all the obvious places like the highway code for the answer and have come up with nothing.

Can you help ?

My friend and I are going to see Paul Weller at the Civic Hall in Wolverhampton on 30th November. Can we stay at your house? We are lovely ladies who won't steal your cutlery or rifle through your underwear. Honest.

I'm in my mid-fifties. Spent some time in the UK and loved it. I'm thinking of retiring there, probably in the Borders, as that's where I have friends.

Are retiree Yanks welcome in the UK as residents? I won't be taking a job from anyone and I do love UK culture and people (And football. Mad about football).

Really want the truth. There are NO bad answers.

Thanks.

My girlfriend will be coming to the UK on Nov. 3rd and if she bought a pass from the britrail website it will not be sent to her on time before she leaves home (in BKK, Thailand). So I would like to know if it's possible for her to buy a Britrail pass while she's in the UK. Thanks!

I want to go to school in the UK but I'm not sure what's a good city. I spoke with one of my current professors and he said to go to "cities with character" in England. I had told him I was looking into Manchester and he said that was a boring city.

He suggested Bath and Leeds.

What would you say are some nice cities in England any why? Your insight may be extremely important to me in the near future. Thank you very much!!
