Try the Smooth Hound System http://www.smoothhound.co.uk/ as it is an internet directory of UK guesthouses. I've always found good places around the country.

Hi >
I would go along with Bridgeport, Many a lovely B&B or whatever,
Should be looking at around £30 per room.
I stay in a tent down that way, when skiing,More like £10 per day, wnd no hassle. Which is much more fun. Mind your head on the ski & tent-poles.
And why not show your kids how water-skiing is done.
Loads of folks most willing to take you & kids on a boat, and have a bit of fun.
Freebies, usually if you ask.
Watch out for the daft orange bloke in Poole Harbour.
It might be :
Bob
