Last time I was there I stayed at the Old Vicarage - you get great breakfasts there!

Oh I LOVE the Lake District! Not got one for Ambleside but Beaumont House at Windermere is lovely. Otherwise look at www.laterooms.com and search for hotels in the Lake District, each hotel has a mini write up and pix. Have fun! xx
