I want to go to school in the UK but I'm not sure what's a good city. I spoke with one of my current professors and he said to go to "cities with character" in England. I had told him I was looking into Manchester and he said that was a boring city.

He suggested Bath and Leeds.

What would you say are some nice cities in England any why? Your insight may be extremely important to me in the near future. Thank you very much!!

York is nice. Steeped in history, great buildings and schools. Manchester and Leeds are a bit on the rough side, high crime rate. Before anyone tells me off, it's true. Same can be said for a lot of areas, including mine. Good and bad people everywhere...Chrisva...This person wants to study, not be out clubbing 24/7. London is the most un-friendliest city in Britain, and it's a shame you didn't learn how to spell while you were at school

Manchester, Bath and Leeds are good choices.

You can also go further north......Edinburgh, Scotland. Beautiful surroundings, great people, good food, and fun life. Schooling is the same standard, although the accent will take a little getting used to.
