Besides the ticket I have to pay a fare of more than 80U$S in the moment I pay the ticket. Do I have to pay another fare when leaving London too? I know it's 40 pounds now but I don't know if it's included in the 80U$S (or more) I pay initially.

It's the first time for me to visit London but it's too expensive in stay in hotels, even B& B can cost quite a lot. Any advice? Will it cost less if I just rent an apartment for 2 weeks?

How do you call London England from the US? I'm on Vonage as well, don't think that makes a difference, but just FYI, thanks!

I may have heard wrongly. Perhaps its 'Bo...','Co...', Do...', 'Go...', 'To...' or 'Vo...'.
Also perhaps its 'Road' not 'Grove'.

TFL = Transport for London

Cost does not matter, nor the number of bus exchanges only take into account the time taken (i.e I want the fastes route).

I have just returned from a one night stay at the Blakemore Hotel in Bayswater where someone let themselves into my room (no forced entry), slashed open my locked suitcase and stole some of my stuff. The police are involved. I cannot prove anything but I suspect an inside job. Staff were totally unhelful and kept holding back from laughing in my face. Has anyone experienced anything like this? The stuff was not very valuable and the Police said it is not worth claiming on insurance, but I am outraged and very upset and I do not think I will get any justice. No compensation was allowed either and I had to pay the full price for the night.

I wasn't worried about eating or going to the pub by myself at first but now I've started reading more books that say women might find themselves uncomfortable in pubs if alone. Not sure why...
