Visit the comedy store, londons top comedy club.
Go to a real authentic East End pie and mash shop, http://www.viewlondon.co.uk/home_feat_where_cockneygrub.asp

For something a little diffrent try a dance class at dance works.

Go to the greyhound race track in Walthamstow

Visit the roof gardens, even if only for a drink to see and amazing view of London

Visit Nottingill market on Saturday. If you walk right down there are hundreds of designers who sell their original designs and can make you a custome made outfit very cheaply.

the weather is prob in the low teens to mid teens (50 - 60) so a coat will be needed. Expect rain too - always seems to rain abit in May now.

As for money i would imagine after you take out hotels, and flight you could do london for £50 a person a day very nicely ($100). If you havent got the budget for that you could half it without missing out too much.

Its a very safe city, get a tube card for cheap tube travel will make things cheaper ina big way, get urself a map of the local areas and a tube map and carry it with you all the time. I would prob buy a guide book as alot in the city can be missed without a good book telling you where things are. Get the loanly plantes guide or such like.

London is a great city. Get urself an itinery and have a good time. do the musuems too - so much better then in the US. Also see a show pref something that will make u laugh (lots about). Also if you are into sport i would be temptd to see a local Soccer (football) match

1Get Oyster Cards for London Travel – they can be used on the Tube and Buses and work out significantly cheaper. Have a look at this link http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/
2Walk a lot of the time – you will see more and often places are actually very close to each other.
3If you are on a tight budget – buy some lunch from somewhere like Marks and Spencers food hall – they are reliable and much cheaper than the coffee shop take aways.
4The weather in May could be beautiful but could still be quite chilly. I would bring layers to wear. Also ensure you have some comfortable shoes or sneakers to wear.
5Museums are now free to enter unless it is a special exhibition so they are good to pop into for a short while – particularly if it starts to rain.
6Walk through some of the parks they are a peacefully place to go – to escape the crowds. Also ensure you taken in Oxford Street and Selfridges – from my perspective more interesting than Harrods.
lastly enjoy.

That became large! You get a well-known man or woman. i will grant you with my 3 short bar jokes: A mushroom walks right into a bar. The bartender says, "we do not serve your type!" The mushroom asks, "Why no longer? i'm a interesting guy (fungi) Jumper cables walk right into a bar & ask in the journey that they are frequently served. The bartender says, "particular, ....do exactly not start up something!!" A sandwich walks right into a bar. The bartender says, "i'm sorry....we do not serve food the following!"
