Osterley is in West London. It has its own tube station on the Piccadilly Line Heathrow Branch.
It is situated just to the north of the A4 'above' Hounslow and just to the south of the M4 'below' Heston Service Area.
Osterley Park and House are very good for a romp with your dog/friends or just a pleasant stroll.
It is within easy reach of all the West London attractions and Twickenham.
Houses tend to be large semis or detached. Quite expensive but pleasant for a very built-up area. Food shops are not expensive but petrol and all insurance premiums are.
The surrounding suburbs of Hounslow and Heston and Brentford are considerably 'less classy'.
Population ethnic balance has shifted towards Asian in the last 20 years (proximity to Heathrow?).
When Heathrow operations are landing on runway 29R the descending aircraft fly quite low over Osterley and Heston towards the west. This can get very noisy and double glazing is only helpful if you spend your time indoors with the windows shut. You'll need to contact the airport for a Runway Alternation Timetable so that you can plan your barbeques.
Road traffic levels are always high.

It used to be a very nice area - bit ragged and run down now and expensive - there are better places a few miles further out!
