I will be studying in London for a full year, and I'm unsure if I will need a cell phone while in the UK. I know that I use my cell a LOT here in US, but will I need one over there, or can people live without one? I'll be keeping in touch with everyone in the US using Skype and other internet means, so I would just need a phone for local calls. Does everyone in London have a cell phone? Any suggestions?

Hi everyone. I need to know.... What is the quickest way from Stanstead Airport to Harrow-on-the-Hill/ Harrow & Wealdstone Station?

My plane lands at 6:10pm on Saturday evening at Stanstead and I'm supposed to be in Harrow by 7pm. Is this even possible? I have already concluded that even though i drive it will surely be quicker to get around london using trains, though i'd prefer not to use the bus as they suck!

Can someone tell me the quickest route and how long it will take (a calculated guess will do) so that if i am going to be late, i roughly know how much by.

Thanx

upon their arrival in England?
I am an American. I hold an American passport. I shouldn've have to fill out anything.
Anyone who holds an American passport - Indian, Chinese, French, Spanish - should be an exception to this rule.
Why do we have to fill out your useless card?

not centreparks or anything too hectic, something for a couple of days, fairly natural surroundings, fun for them but chill out for us!

The vice-versa, however, is not true.
The accent and the terrible teeth ruins it all.
Given the fact that we don't like them, why do they like us?

I find that the time zones for the UK are GMT+0 and GMT+8.

Would you please tell me the reason for it. And how about time zones in the UK? DoEngland, Scotland, Ireland and Walse share the same time zone? Or is it just for London time?
