I don't live in the UK but I remember watching a television program about the charver problem there. That was a few years ago. Is there still a problem with charvers there, or have the British authorities gotten them under control now?

I'm an American. In our country, we are allowed to carry guns. Why do I have to follow the rules of the UK when I'm not a Brit? I'm an American. I don't have to follow your rules.

upon their arrival in England?
I am an American. I hold an American passport. I shouldn't have to fill out anything.
Anyone who holds an American passport - Indian, Chinese, French, Spanish - should be an exception to this rule. Just stamp our passports and let us leave.
Why do we have to fill out your useless card?

I'll be in London for two weeks, last in August, first in September 2006. I've just learned that the tube has no A/C (yikes!), and I hear that many of the inter-city trains don't either. I live in San Francisco, and I'm spoiled, I guess. I start to sweat at 77 degrees F (25 C). I'm getting worried that I won't be able to leave my hotel room wihtout being miserable getting to, or being in, all the places I want to visit.

I am looking to go to London later this year and am planning what i would like to do.

I especially would like to go to the London Dungeons.

I was wondering what people thought of it, i.e. is it worth the money and what you enjoyed about it.

I am also interested in the history behind the Dungeons; was it ever used as Dungeons in the olden times or is this just a gimic?

Any answers will be greatly appreciated.

With the school summer holidays approaching and 4 young kids I plan on buying a family rail card and taking my children for days out when my husband is at work as I don't drive myself yet.
I have one problem.......ESCALATORS....I'm not so bad going up, I can at a push just about do it,..But going down I just can't, I get dizzy and feel like passing out,....Do all the London underground have stairs or lifts?
