Is it still possible to travel up the old A1 from Welwyn Garden City to Hartlepool? I visiting England with my parents next year and it would be a trip down memory lane for them as they used to use this road during the 60's.

I'm asking because I am planning to visit England and some other European countries for a few months. Should I be afraid to talk to people? My accent is Midwestern or no accent. I'm not from NY or the south, so my accent is neutral. Will I annoy people I talk to? I have heard English people say that American accents are lazy and nasally sounding. I really don't think my accent is nasally.

I'm intending to move to a quieter and nice neighbourhood outside central London. Everyday I need to commute into Zone 1 to work. Would you recommend any of these areas to live, if not, why?
Barking, Essex (Tube Zone 4)
Finchley, London N3 (Tube Zone 4)

Northwest London (NW11)
Southwest London (SW19)
East London (E3)
North London (N19)

Thanks in advance.

My wife and I would like to travel to Italy or France, but to reduce travel costs. I think it may be cheaper to fly from the west coast of the United States to London, and then fly on Easy Jet or Ryan Air. Most transoceanic flights go into Heathrow. But, I don't think that the discount carriers use that hub. Thanks for your help.

Hi!
Me and my friend are planning a tour to England the budget of 6745 $. We've bought tickets (for 22-29 June) so we have 5665 $ left.
We are planning to visit London, and two more cities... Which ones would you advise us to stay in?
We would be extremely grateful to anyone who would advise us on places to visit, caffes, museums, natural resorts, cities, rock concerts, hotel/B&B, and basically anything...
Thank you very much
