what paperwork do you need to go to mexico? I live in Arizona and we have heard that you need a passport.. and we have also heard that you don't... we are all american citizens and were just wondering what we needed... please help.

We would like to visit Cancun, Mexico this coming July with our 1 year old and would like to know if it is safe. We would be staying at a resort but the ride to the Hotel does not include a car seat. We know how careless those drivers are when transporting people back and forth to their hotel. We take all the precautions here in the U.S. to make sure our baby is safe in his car seat and it seems silly to disregard all of this because we're in another country. Also if our baby should get sick, is the medical system as good as ours?

What is the cost more or less for a economic class, round-trip ticket to either aguascalientes,puerto vallarta,or mexico city?

This occurred some time before that. 'sparks_m' was given the 'best answer' by me due to his almost 10,000 points.
'mexkimo' also indicated that Mar 11 was the day and tried to 'sell' me on something. THEY WERE BOTH DEAD WRONG!! Never mind the free 2 points, if you're wrong or don't know the answer, don't reply. The correct answer was not until April 1st. The Mexicans decided to go on their own. I was in PV and was privy to it. Most of them didn't have a clue about the States or Canada changing on Mar. 11th. 'Jim W' answered april 1st, but he (she) seemed to be referring in general to past practices and maybe didn't have a clue about PV, but was inadvertently right. How the heck can someone get so many points or whatever, such as 'sparks_m' or thousands of others who don't have a clue what they're talking about?? MY answers are legit and my questions are of concern. A lot of queries are nonsense!! What is this world coming to?? How do these people get so many pts? Beats me! 5 pts gone

Ok. This is my last Spanish paragraph if you are willing to edit it...?
I cannot make the accent marks but I know where they go. I just want to make sure I am using the correct forms of the verbs, either preterite or imperfect. It is a challenge but I think most of this paragraph should be preterite:


Este ano en el dia de los enamorados mi herman y su novio y you y mi amigo salimos juntos. Fue la primera vez que el novio de mi hermana y mi amigo cocieron. Fuimos a Bravo's un restaurante italiano. Para el apertivo predimos calamares y ensalada. Para los platos principales comimos pasta, y el novio de me hermano pedio un bistec. Mi hermana no comio carne o pescado porque es una vegeteriana. Bebimos mucho vino pero nadie fue borracho. Despues fuimos al discoteca hasta tres y medi. Mi herman y su novio les gusta mucho mi amigo. Nosotros divertimos mucho y vamas a salor juntos otras veces en el futuro. Estaba alegre que fue un nocho bueno y divertido.

I am an American living in Mexico for 6 months. I do not have a passport as it was not required when I came here (By bus) and I didnt want to wait up to 6 months to get one. I know someone cant fly from the US to Mexico without a passport because of the new law. But can I fly out of Mexico back to the US or within Mexico with the ID that I do have (Drivers License, Original Birth Certificate, 180 day Tourist card)?

My wife is turning 40. We will be inviting another couple as well. Not taking any kids. This is our first trip to Mexico. Ideally we want good weather (low humidity), hiking and/or touring Mayan/Aztec ruins, some beach time (we like the beach but will get bored just lying there), water sports (kayaking, sunset cruises) and nightlife (we enjoy clubs but are not going to drink like fish - at least I don't think so).
Considering:
* Cozumel & Cancun but hear that they are too cheesey and touristy -- overboard on the drinking culture.
* Cabo San Lucas - but hear that the beaches have fierce undertows that keep you from enjoying the water.
* Mayan Riviera/ Playa Del Carmen/ Tulum - but hear that it has 90% humidity. Yuck!
What is the best spot for us? What else should I consider? Specific hotels, beaches, restaurants and points of interest are appreciated!!!
