This occurred some time before that. 'sparks_m' was given the 'best answer' by me due to his almost 10,000 points.
'mexkimo' also indicated that Mar 11 was the day and tried to 'sell' me on something. THEY WERE BOTH DEAD WRONG!! Never mind the free 2 points, if you're wrong or don't know the answer, don't reply. The correct answer was not until April 1st. The Mexicans decided to go on their own. I was in PV and was privy to it. Most of them didn't have a clue about the States or Canada changing on Mar. 11th. 'Jim W' answered april 1st, but he (she) seemed to be referring in general to past practices and maybe didn't have a clue about PV, but was inadvertently right. How the heck can someone get so many points or whatever, such as 'sparks_m' or thousands of others who don't have a clue what they're talking about?? MY answers are legit and my questions are of concern. A lot of queries are nonsense!! What is this world coming to?? How do these people get so many pts? Beats me! 5 pts gone

No doubt you're right, but the substance of my original question was legit and I got wrong answers from persons with a ton of points. I wanted help from (pardon me) the likes of you. Then you would have got the ten points what with knowlege of a site I wasn't aware of until now. This is for the first answerer. No offense meant.

By the way. We ARE the northern hemisphere in all our time zones. Two huge countries. I like the extra daylight. As I said, the Mexicans didn't have a clue. 'Nuff said. Thanks for the info. I'll keep it.

Sorry to go on, but at 62 yrs of age I've seen many date changes in my time when Canada & the States were different - a little history. Others may chime in on that one. Again, no offense.

'Jim W' has slipped another two free points after having 'lucked in' to an inadvertant correct answer the first time I brought this to be before March 11th. What the heck gives here? Have you no class, because the points mean nothing to me. I feel that I'm a legitimate contibutor and take the time to give insight. You're just a blinking 'leech'! Get out, get off, or whatever. You and your likes p** me off. brain dead? Y!A, please don't bust me for thisone. It's deserved. I mean well. These people are piling up points with no effort or brains. 'Nuff said!!!

As for the measly 10 points to be awarded for this question - is anyone going to chime in on the actual major differences between the States & Canada in the last 50 yrs or so that I can remember. They're on the site given to me! Is ANYONE going to chastise 'Jim W' for leeching another two points? There's others out there. This may garner the 10 points. I'm not gonna give either one of these two the pleasure.

You could have gone to timeanddate.com and saved the five points.

And it's not Mexico that's going it alone. The US and Canada for really lame reasons have decided to break with the general pattern the rest of the Northern Hemisphere has followed for decades. And so we'll go to work and school in darkness a few more weeks--turning on the lights in the morning that we won't need a night. I just don't get that.
