I am traveling to Europe this summer and it is my first time visiting. I will be visiting the U.K., San Sebastion (Spain), and the south of France. I need to know if I can use Euros in all of these places and I also need to know the Euro equivalent of 1000 U.S. dollars. Any and all information is appreciated. Thanks! Also, what is the legal drinking age,( I'll be turning 18 over there and here its 21)?

I find myself in dilemma. I enjoy both places very much, I can't decide where I'd rather live. So, I'd like to know what the pros and cons of living in each area are. Thanks

I know the censuses in European countries do not collect this sort of information but I was wondering where European countries are at in terms of diversity compared to the US.

What percentage of the population in the following countries are White/Caucasian?

England
France
Italy
Ireland
Iceland
Switzerland
Spain
Portugal
Belgium
Slovakia
Germany

I am 21 and graduating college a semester early, in December. I would really like to spend a month or so traveling in Europe. Are there groups I can go with? How much am I looking at if I go low class? Any general suggestions? Should I just focus on getting a job?

We prefer getting on a bus or train than flying there, that way we can also look around and see how france is through its local transportation.

I know those three countries don't ask for race/ethnicity in their census but I was just curious. I want to compare the diversity in the US compared to those countries.

My fiance has asked me which country in Europe I would want to move to. The only international language I speak is English, though he is fluent in English and French. I don't think I want to be in the UK, and seems like every other European country has a national language.....Is there at least one country out there that has English as a second language? Help!!

"too touristy" - cheap gift shops every two feet selling touristy crap, tourists outnumber the locals, a general unauthentic feel to the city.

just thought i would clarify whaat i mean't by touristy. i was thinking about traveling to prague but i have a friend who told me it's so overrun by tourists and that it's not even worth the trip. what are your opinions. help is greatly appreciated!

Well, I would like to visit any of these 2 countries during the summer, which one do you recommend more?
I'm 18 years old, I'm interested in going to museums and I'm more interested in architecture than landscapes, but I also want to have fun, so which one is better and why?
Also, I don't speak Norwegian nor Suomi, I just speak English, Spanish and German, so which one is more.... friendly (so to say) to English-speakers?
