I am 21 and graduating college a semester early, in December. I would really like to spend a month or so traveling in Europe. Are there groups I can go with? How much am I looking at if I go low class? Any general suggestions? Should I just focus on getting a job?

My friend did a tour with Contiki. She loved it. No one on the trip was over 30. The trip can be as long or as short as you like, but they specialize in trips for younger travelers.

They traveled through Europe over 6 weeks and went to 4 or 5 different countries. They provide all lodging and transportation. It's a very structured tour, but you get to see a lot.

I think the tours run anywhere from $1200 to $3600 depending on the trip you choose.

You can also plan your own trip, but it may involve a lot more planning and booking, whereas the Contiki tour is all taken care of.

Personally, if you can afford to do this, seize the day and take the trip. You have your whole life ahead of you to work.

Have fun.

Do not focus on a job just yet. Once you start your job you will never get a chance like this again. Do not pass it up, travel to Europe and have the time of your life.

You can go cheap by backpacking, getting a rail pass and staying in Hostels. There should be a group from your church, your college, or city going every year. Start with asking your friends, you really only need one to go, but there is no reason you can't go alone. Dont' worry you will be safe and there are plenty of other people your age there looking to make friends. Go everywhere you want too, and you will not be sorry.

It's always good to clear your mind and relax before getting a job. You should ask a friend or two to go with you, the experience is more fun, it's also safer that way. Right now is the most expensive time to go to Europe, but try looking at STA travel for flights to Europe. If you have some friends and if you don't mind, you can stay in a hostel or Bed & Breakfast (some of these are not much more than a hostel). Should you need more help, please feel free to contact me.
