Most people think that either Neuschwanstein (very kitschy) or Burg Eltz are the most beautiful castles in germany.If yo don't like Neuschwanstein, your best choice would be to go to the state of Rheinland-Pfalz (=Rhineland-Palatine) (its major cities are Mainz and Koblenz), its got a lot of castles.
