Yes...it's always worth it to travel. You will have the time of your life, expand your awareness of the world and become a better person because of it...oh did I tell you that you would have the time of your life too?
Take a lot of pictures and make sure you and your friends are in them.

Not really. I mean the trip will be organized and includes (probably) the price for excursions, but my colleges offers a trip to France (or Spain) for $2500 for 4 weeks, plus 3 college credits. It's also very well-organized and you go there with a professor. This is a way better deal. You are spending nearly $3000 for 10 days. That's ridiculous! Plus when you are a high school student, they're very paranoid and you wouldn't be able to do anything by yourself. And how do you experience another country locked in 4 walls (you're allowed to go out when everyone else goes out). Just wait until you're older. It'll be a way better experience for you. Plus you don't know that much history of England, France, and Italy. So if you go to those excursions, would you know what they are about?

Yes! It's important to see how people live in other countries. Although $2700 is a little high even for summer. If you're willing to take the train (they're very safe and reliable) and spend a few more days, you can get the cost down.
