I have found it very hard to find a Metro, a Tram or a bus station near a specific address.
I'm looking for a way that will guide me how to travel from point A to point B, telling what Metro, Tram or bus to take (something like HopStop.com).
I've found only on-line maps, but no public transportation help.
The official public transport web site is not easy to navigate.
If this solution could be in English, that would be perfect, but French will do as well.

I'm talking about Brussels, Belgium, right ?

Thanks !

I came to NL 3 yrs ago to study in university and must renew my visa every year. Last summer something unexpected happened and I had to relocate to BE but had no time to apply for a BE visa so I renewed my NL student visa and used that instead. This year I am going home. I realised that I had overstayed for almost two weeks and still need to be here another 4-6 weeks. What can I do to sort this out with the authorities (which one should I go to, BE or NL?) with the least amount of trouble?

My bf and I are planning a weekend away in October, either in Lille or Bruges. I've been to Bruges before and quite liked it. Can anyone who's been to both recommend which they thought nicer? We like a bit of history, local culture etc, good local food, rustic bars etc.

I have a friend that I haven't seen for some years living there, so it would be cute to see where he is now.

In Belgium education is compulsory between the ages of 3-18. I know that much. I also know a little on the history of the school wars and why the system is the way it is.
What happens to teens that want to get a job at 16? And do all 3-year old receive free state education if they are Belgians citizens? Do immigrant children get the same rights as Belgian children when it comes to education? Serious and/or intelligent answers only please

My better half is Belgian and prefers that we settle in Belgium after marriage bc of his job.
I'm a microbiologist and the embassy informed me that I wont be able to work for an undefinite time.
Im worried I'll be redundant in Belgium after some years.

Besides that, I am asian and my biggest fear is racism and how the locals would accept the presence foreigners as myself as I have no choice in this situation.

Currently working in Paris (non EU citizen), I am thinking to follow my flemish girlfriend to Brussels (who is moving there from London). The biggest stumbling block is the fear of unemployment. How hard or easy is it to find a job in Belgium? I am in junior management level speaking french and english, graduate of a prestigious french school. What scares me is that these guys are looking for polyvalent secretaries speaking 5 languages and unwilling to pay 35 K euros (standard starters salary in france) for junior professionals. Careerwise, does it make sense to move? One Yahoo answer says casually, expect to be unemployed for 2 years. Is this the way things go in Belgium for expatriates?
