In Belgium education is compulsory between the ages of 3-18. I know that much. I also know a little on the history of the school wars and why the system is the way it is.
What happens to teens that want to get a job at 16? And do all 3-year old receive free state education if they are Belgians citizens? Do immigrant children get the same rights as Belgian children when it comes to education? Serious and/or intelligent answers only please

What happens to teens that want to get a job at 16?
1. school is compulsory but there are different ways to attend school. if a 16-year wants a job he still has to go to school. he can follow courses and work a job that's directly linked to his education. he works 4 days @ minimum wage and goes to school 1 day a week. As long as you don't finish the compulsory part, till 18 you have to be enroled in a school. not doing so is a crime that your parents have to pay for.
a school that offers such education is: http://www.syntra.be (dutch site)
2. @ age 16 you have the right to work as a student after school hours, in weekends and in the hollidays.
do all 3-year old receive free state education if they are Belgians citizens?
1. all 3 year olds should be able to recieve 'free' state education. yet it is not compulsory yet.
2.it's compulsory from the age of 6 but 'free' isn't free of cost yet.
3. sure they don't have to pay for the enrolment, yet things required such as books and others are @ charge of the parents.
4. it's not just for Belgian citizens, its for all people who legally reside in Belgium, weather their french, german, australian, turkish, ...
Do immigrant children get the same rights as Belgian children when it comes to education?
1. yes if they have a legal status.
2. no if they're illegal, but under international conventions (one of them being the European Declaration of Human Rights) all children can get an education. I don't know the regulation around that but be sure to check the following site for more intel: http://www.dofi.fgov.be/index_1024.htm (french & dutch) it's the site of the federal organization that is running foreigners affairs.

I hope this answers all your questions, otherwise let me know, I'll see what more intel I can get you.

The learn-duty in Belgium is between 6 and 18 year. There is only a learnduty, not a school-duty. Everybody between 6-18 must have education.
There exists some particular education systems for teens from 15 years: a combination of learning and working (learn-contracting).
Every child in Belgium has the right of education, it is also a obligation. Even the children of illegal persons has that right. It is often so that a lot of these children goes to school and are well integrated in the system.

-> you are not compulsory to go to school, your parents can choose to educate you themself. But I don't know the details

Immigrant children:
-> they have the same rights about education, even if they are not legal in the country
