Can I use the AAA card in Europe?

I am planning a European Roadtrip this spring (Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France) and I was wondering if my AAA card will help me save money while I'm over there. I'm mostly wondering if I can save money on hotels/hostels and car rental compies. Which specific car rentals companies have a AAA card discount? Is the discount substantial? How can you assure someone who is scared of going to Greece that it is safe enough to go there?

My whole entire family is okay to go on a vacation to Greece except one person. They are too afraid that we would not be able to read anything and that we wouldn't be able able to find ourselves around because everything would be in Greek - including the road sides. They are also worried that it's dangerous over there because it is near the Middle East and that it might not be developed, civilized enough, something like that over there. I have to influence them that it is safe enough to go there before Christmas so I am in a hurry. Please help me.

How do you move to another country?

I am an American citizen, but i want to move to a country such as: England, France, Egypt, Italy, Greece or someplace in Europe.

How do you get to move to another country? What do you need to do? I am an American citizen, so it must be easier to obtain a residence in another country, right?
I just want to move to Europe, or Egypt because at least in Europe its more liberal, open-minded and such.
