Pinar has forgotten Hagai Sophia and the Sulimanye Cami (mosque), the Atpazar, the hippodrome and the Egyptian stele and the Kariye Cami (full of Byzantine mosaics almost as impressive as those in Italy.

Pay no attention to C, Ronaldo. He is just sour grapes. A great deal of what Pinar has named belonged to the great Byzantine Empire, not Amnenia.

There is no good reason to fight the battles of empires, and it can be done in virtuallly every country on earth. None of us lives in a a guiltless place or belongs to a guiltless people.

Go to Istanbul, tour all the wonderful places, including the Bedestan in Kapali Carcasi and have a wonderful time.

Don't forget to have a Turkish coffee at Sark Kavasi in the Covered Bazaar. It's been there for hundreds of years.
