As has already been said, Groningen Airport Eelde is the nearest airport, though it operates only as a minor regional airport. The nearest major international airport is Amsterdam Schiphol. There are hourly direct trains between Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and Hoogeveen; the journey time is 1hr 55mins.

Groningen airport eelde, but there are not so many destinations you can fly to from this airport. I think there is a possibility to fly from this airport to Schiphol.
