My brother and I are saving money to send my parents on a cruise to the Caribbean in 2008. I know I'm planning very early, but I'm wondering for people who have gone there or just have a lot of cruise line experience - I know Royal Caribbean is suppose to be a very nice line, but I'm wondering what Princess is like. I looked them up online and I'm interested in their mini suites, they look nice and roomy, as far as rooms go.

Also, are there any spots that you just "have to go to" when you cruise the Caribbean? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm pretty sure that we're all going to go, the four of us, I'll be 25 by then and my brother will be 22, so I want to find something that will be comfortable and fun for my parents and for us. Thanks so much!

We are taking a Hawaiian cruise on the Spirit of America. Their prices for land excursions seem pretty high compared to what we've gotten on land on earlier trips. We're considering scheduling our own excursions. I understand they will pick you up at the dock and return you to the ship.

Are you familiar with Hawaiian tourism, esp. cruising? If you are, what suggestions would you have? What's the best way to save money on excursions or other things to do while in port? Is there perhaps an agency over there that can book adventures & excursions for us?

What excursions have you done and enjoyed the most? We're a retired couple, so hiking the Na Pali coast is probably out, but we're open to any suggestions.

Also, if you have sailed on the Spirit of America, we'd appreciate any advice about the ship, ports of call, or cruising in general. This is "free-style" cruising, and anything you could tell us about that would also be appreciated.

Thanks a lot for your help!

What happens if you die on a cruise ship? I know most modern cruise ships have a morgue, but can they keep the body until the ship returns to home port, or must it be removed at the next port stop?

Is there a specific age? Or is it one of those "If you have your parents permission it's ok" situations?

I'm in a group of 6 and we're planning on getting Ocean View Staterooms near one another. We're all in our late 20s. We found 2 groups of rooms. One group is near the front of the ship, and one is near the back. The front group is close to the elevators and the back group is a little further away from the elevators.

Is it better to be at the back of the boat or the front? Does it matter? Better to be close to the elevators (less walking) or far from the elevators (less noise)?

Just looking for people's opinions...THANKS!

This cruise centre is the port of cruise ships that cruises around the world like the star cruises, crystal cruises, venus and asuka2 cruise ship. I would like also to know how far is it from the International Airport? Would it cost me too much if I take a taxi cab to reach the cruise centre? How about the cruise Centre of Dalian, China? What part of China is Dalian? I haven't heard of it.

I'm in a group of 6 that wants to take a 7 day cruise on the Carnival Glory to the Eastern Carribean in June. I know that prices generally fluctuate and then even drop significantly at the last minute if there is still space. My group would like to get our rooms near eachother, if possible.

Has anyone spent time monitoring the price fluctuations in past summers? Do the prices take a nice dip at some point?

For those who have been on a cruise, does the ship security inspect luggage throughly as you board ship, like at an airport security? If I have in my possession sodas or other food, will it be thrown out or can I get away with it if it is hidden well in luggage? How closely do they inspect one's luggage/purse?

I was wondering what month was the best time to cruise Southern Carribean. I've only been on one cruise before and we had huge swells that made me very sea sick. Is there a better time of year?
