With the new aiport security you would have to check want you can and cannot take in the bag but I would put anything valuable in a carry on and if you have cameras like a digital and camcorder or 35 mm ask to hand check it to ensure the c-ray machine wont damage the equipment and then also make sure you ahve extra batteries film and memory cards tapes etc and everything else needed for the equipment. As for what you'll do thats kind of up to you take shore excursions or do whatever lounge around at the pool play games be involved in activities its just an endless thing no time frame really or anything, and as for what to take, lots of tshirts and shorts and cofrotable shoes like pool shoes, then walking shoes for shore excursions and then dress shoes. The ship will have a formal informal and casual nights for the main dining room with a certain dress requirement like they wont let adults in with shorts except on the first night and only for certain exceptions but kids is okay, and formal a suit or tux and informal a dress shirt slacks and tie and casual maybe slacks and a polo or khakis and a dress shirt, but dress apropiately or skip that and have the buffet. It doesnt really matter. Bring all medications have insurance and have everything you'll need birth certificates and ID even for children but passports are recommended. Also make sure you have everythign else marked wiht your name and cabin number etc. Just make a list and make sure you have everything on that list.

Well do not take soft drinks. I have known of people taking some Burbon in their suit case to advoid the cost of mix drinks. However they only took a small amount to cut down on the weight in the suit case.
You need Swim Suit, Clothes (casual, and one dress for formal night), Pack light and take plenty of film and sun tan oil. Also do not forget to bring the plastic or $$$$ for items you will be buying.
If you want to drink soft drinks RCCL sells a drink cup when you get on board. Buy the $20 dollar cup and you are set up for the trip.
Enjoy RCCL is the best cruise line I have been on so far.

I would just buy your softdrinks when you are there. When you pack drinks even liquor they will sometimes charge you a small fee anyhow. I would bring any medications you may need of course, a good book, or puzzle magazine, your ipod, sunscreen, camera, a duffle bag or backpack if you plan on going off the ship to shop etc., comfortable shoes for walking, your passport of course!, New law now that you need one for Carribean ventures, a formal if you are attending the formal dinner. Bathing suits of course, A big hat or baseball hat, aloe vera lotion in case you burn, Business cards if you have them, you never know who you are going to meet! Have a blast, and plan an excursion or two at particular ports, take a taxi to a beach, horse back ride, etc.,

I actually have a prepared typed up list that I check stuff on of when I go on cruises. One thing on my list that is a must is a power strip! Plug ins are very limited in cruise cabins!
The usual - swim suit, tanning lotion, sunburn Rx, etc etc etc. You can in fact take soft drinks on to the ship - but rather than paying their flight cost - just purchase them at the port you sail from.
Enjoy your trip!

Sure, you can take cans of soda in your luggage - but WHY? Soda costs very little aboard the ship and in your luggage, it might accidently pop open during the flight and ruin your clothes.
Take dressy but not too fancy clothes for dinner. You do not want to look like a slob. Shorts, swim suits, tee shirts will do for daytime. Club clothes for nights on board.
Take Imodium for possible "stomach ailments", aspirin for hangovers, hand sanitizer for constant hand cleaning, and suntan lotion for not getting sunburned.

You can bring what you want in your checked luggage...it's the carryon that they are watching. But remember, cans of soda add weight...is that worth bringing if you need to lug it around or pay excess luggage charge? Don't forget the suntan lotion (in a plastic bag sealed in case it breaks in luggage!) camera, bathing suit coverup, watershoes, sunglasses, visor or golf hat, dance shoes, a decent jacket or sundress (man or woman?) .... flip flops....
there's TONS to do on RC ships...you won't be bored. ENJOY

Dont pack to much! If youre flying new regulations band large cans of liquid in hand luggage. I think its better to shop your drink in the ships bars or shops than straining your arms with the weight! Johan

Why? Everything should be available, including soft drinks.
Just remember your 'pills' - after all, "it" is what single people are supposed to be going on cruises for!!
