When I get out of college I want to move to Canada to the Vancouver, BC area. I wanted to know if anyone has information on how to go about changing citizenship. Also I wanted to know if anyone had information regarding the real estate market of the area, mainly apartments for two.

We are moving to Canada from the UK , I have kids and I hear lots of too good to be true stories regarding low crime rates in Canada , but I have now just read a horrifying story about a boy having to be relocated form Abbotsford due to criminal gang activity that the police are struggling with.
This is precisely what Im trying to avoid my kids growing up in , whats the real story on life for kids n teens growing up in Vancouver?
can anyone offer advice , the kind you cant pick up on in 2 weeks , or recomend any areas that have low crime ?
Im really worried and would appreciate some inside info here , even personal views on supposedly safer areas in Canada, im guessing i sound paranoid here , but I'm leaving my own country which has high crime as we want a better life for our kids.
Im dying to hear your insider info on this matter....cheers.

My school schedule starts from 8 till 5pm. Even with the little time left in the evening and weekends, I would want to make the most out of it!

What are the MUST SEE places and MUST DO activities near Vancouver? The cost?Travelling time from UBC?

I`m considering to tour Montreal , Boston, NYC, Ottawa, Toronoto. Any good places to visit or things to do?

What about Seattle? How long does it take to reach there?

Anyone also going to UBC on exchange? Wanna plan our trip together? Do share your experience here!

Leaving from Singapore.

I will be spending 5 days in Washington/BC flying into Bellingham, and wanting to spend a couple days in both Vancouver and Seattle.

Should I rent a car in Vancouver or can I see most of the city by public transportation? Same with Seattle?

What about getting across the border with a US rental car? Would I be better off parking in the US and going across the border using public transportation? If I do take a rental car over the border what liscencing and permits do I need?

Also, should I expect a long wait crossing the border? (I'm a US citizen.)

And should I be concerned about traffic delays on a Saturday late afternoon?

I absolutely hate the city. I live in the Downtown eastside despite the fact that I am attending UBC. If DTES is the only place where you could get shelter at a decent price in Vancouver, it is very bad for the city. I am deeply ashamed at the people who tour this city and call it a great city because it is a horrible city. I am moving to oronto, a much better place. I won't miss crackpot vancouver.

hi. in my english class i have to do a visual representation about East Hastings Street in Vancouver. A friend of mine had to do some volunteer work down there and...yeah. anyways, i'm looking to put together a video. its VERY important that it's of east hastings street. if you life in vancouver and you have a brief video, a tour or something, of east hastings, can you PLEASE send it to me? Or if you get bored and courageous one day and head down there and record something, that would also be GREATLY appreciated. you dont have to be on it or anything. i just want some shots of the street so i can put it to some music and make it work. if you have that please send it to kennedys_heart@yahoo.ca before wednesday. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

I'm planning to move to Vancouver this June. I've heard a lot of good stories about the city. I'm a nature lover, and I'm not really into nightlife activities such as clubbing etc, well, except for cozy pub/piano bar. I'm a culinary student, and I've heard Van has nice restaurants.
So, I'm kinda looking for a peaceful place to live in.

We're going in June..My husband, our daughter and me...We're staying in Vancouver. Whistler looks like a beautiful place but being from the deep south, we do not ski or snowboard and neither of us play golf. We enjoy sightseeing, dining out and going for long walks...Any suggestions for both Vancouver and Whistler will be appreciated. Can you make it to Whistler and back to Vancouver in 1 day trip? Are there any dinner trains? We love doing that sort of thing. Can you ride a ski lift up the mountain just to check out the view? Please don't laugh at my questions...
