My school schedule starts from 8 till 5pm. Even with the little time left in the evening and weekends, I would want to make the most out of it!

What are the MUST SEE places and MUST DO activities near Vancouver? The cost?Travelling time from UBC?

I`m considering to tour Montreal , Boston, NYC, Ottawa, Toronoto. Any good places to visit or things to do?

What about Seattle? How long does it take to reach there?

Anyone also going to UBC on exchange? Wanna plan our trip together? Do share your experience here!

Leaving from Singapore.

Seattle is about 4 hours by bus or train from Vancouver, 3 hours by car, if border crossing and traffic is favorable.

The other cities you mention would require air travel, as they are 2,000 to 3,000 miles away, and would require a minimum of 4 days including travel time (per each city), preferably a week to really see any of those cities. If you could take two weeks, you could likely tour all of them hitting the high spots in each, whether that would be worth it to you only you can decide. There is too much in all of those cities to even begin to mention, I suggest you look up each cities websites and attractions.

Vancouver is a great city and has a lot of things to see and do. Some are free, other than transportation, such as visiting gastown, Stanley Park, Granville Island, and Lynn Canyon. Other places you may want to see are the various museums, (there are many of them in Vancouver) Capilano Suspension Bridge, Grouse Mountain, and so much more.

You may also want to take a ferry to Vancouver Island and visit Victoria.
