I realized that in the US I would not be able to have served in the military as I have in Canada for not nly one but for two reasons

1. I am a gay woman, and
2. I was Combat Arms (Armoured Crew)

Do you believe that Canada has more freedoms? Why or Why not?

I am fascinated by Nunavut and the far North, and have a profound respect for those who live there. But unfortunately, in all the reading I have done about it, nowhere have I found a proper pronunciation. Is it "nun'-uh-vut" or "noon'-uh-voot?"

And hey, if you live there, can you tell me about what life is like? I would love to visit Nunavut sometime. Thanks!

I visited the Provencial Museum of Alberta and I read somewhere that the Native Canadians immigrated to Alberta about 11.000 years ago.

My wife is awaiting 1st stage approval of her permenate resident while staying in Canada on a tourist visa. First they (CIC) says it would take 3 months, then they say 6 to 7 months, then they say 7 to 8 months, then 8 to 9 months and now they say 9 to 10 months! how many of you find this ridiculous? hiow many of you have gone through this BS? It is stuff like this that makes me wanna renounce my Canadian citizenship.

I'm a 21 year old US citizen, and I'd like to work at Whistler Blackcomb in BC next winter. I know that the winter workforce is largely composed of employees from abroad, but I'm having a little difficulty understanding the process - Immigration Canada seems to make it clear that I'd need a letter of offer from the company to be given a visa and work permit, but Whistler Blackcomb says that it doesn't issue letters of offer for seasonal employees. So... how do all of these people go about getting into Canada to work for the winter months?

My buddies and I are going to Regina for spring break, becuase we are only 19, therefore not old enough to drink in the US. What are some of the best nightclubs and restaurants in Regina? Anything else fun to do in that area? How's Casino Regina, is it worth the trip?
