I'm flying to St. Johns, and driving across the province to Deer Lake.

If in St John's ( great place to visit with great people), visit:

- Signal Hill...especially at sunrise
- Cape Spear
- The harbour
- O'Briens Whale Watching and Puffin Tour
- The Fluvarium

And much more at: http://www.stjohns.ca/visitors/attractions/index.jsp

the two Nova Scotia and Newfoundland are amazing, with plenty to detect. in spite of if, Newfoundland has a much greater different lifestyle from the the remainder of Canada. many human beings on "the Rock" communicate with an incredibly different accessory from different Canadians (and a few can hardly be understood).... H's are further on the beginning up of words beginning with a vowel and are dropped each time they are actually on the beginning up of the be conscious. Nfld (the fast sort for Newfoundland) is amazingly rural, with stark landscapes, superb barren area aspects, ponds (it truly is "newfie" for lakes) everywhere and for sure, surrounded via the Atlantic Ocean. in case you elect to adventure a different lifestyle and ecosystem, head for Nfld.

You don't say which area, but if you're going to Western Newfoundland I would definitely suggest visiting Gros Morne National Park. If you are going in Winter ski at Marble Mountain in Cornerbrook and drive up to L' ance aux meadows where the vikings settled.
