get a definite job offer first, then you will have a better case.
both alberta and bc need trades people.
good luck.ps you are still relatively young,so dont worry about your age, average retirement age in canada in the private sector is about 65.so you would have a whole 12 years to contribute!.after 10 years you can take your pension anywhere.
dont give up,many less worthy people get in and abuse the system.

So you want to move to Canada AHH.
Please consider that it will be very hard for you to find a job because employers must give preference to Middle Eastern immigrants when hiring.
If you eventually find a job be ready to accept half the pay you are used to getting in the USA, socialism is expensive. At the same time be prepared for a 30% increase in the cost of living. You should consider bringing your bicycle because cars are also 30% more expensive than in the USA. Finally don't get sick, with Canadas backlogged socialized medical program you could very well die waiting for treatment.
Make sure you take French and Arabic lessons before you go to ensure you don't offend your new hosts.

Age, not enough qualification, no job offers, no relatives, no place to stay is a big minus in your independent immigrant application. unless you marry someone from Canada, I'd say there really is no other way out. I have friends your age but it's hard to marry someone and end up in a divorce here in Canada. There is a 10 year commitment to support you and if you separate she will have to pay for your means for the rest of the term. I don't think anyone would risk having to go through that. Good Luck.

If you are an electronic technician why would you want to be an apprentice cook?
There is demand for trades people (cooks not included unless you are going to go up north to be a camp cook)
