British Citizens
British Citizens, who are travelling as tourists or on a business trip (duration of less than 6 months), do not require a visitor's visa when entering Canada, but should hold a valid passport and a return ticket.

Consulting the following is recommended as some British Passports with certain endorsements may require visas:

Non-British Citizens

You are free to visit any country, including Canada.

If you intend on working or staying longer than 3 months, you will need a work/student/extended visa.

Being British does not entitle you to privileges of any commonwealth country, just like being Canadian doesn't entitle me to land on British soil and take up residence. We are still two separate countries.

I'd be the first one on a plane to the UK if that did change.
