I intend to visit Canada from USA via land border in my car. I am not a US citizen, am on H1. I know I need a visa to enter Canada but can I get the visa from Port of Entry? I read something regarding this in the Canadian consulate site but there are no details there. Anyone has any details???

I was thinking about going to Bellingham, Washington soon from Surrey, British Columbia (Canada), and I was thinking about buying a Nintendo Wii there, if it is in stock. However, I am a bit concerned about coming back to Canada. I am only staying for only a few hours, so I was wondering if I have to pay duty at the border, and how much it will cost. The Wii and one game is USD$399.98 and with tax it is USD$345.00. I thought about getting rid of the boxes and hiding it, but I'm not sure what to do. Please help. Thanks.

How difficult is it to move from the US to Canada? And where is the best part to live in? What are some things I should do to get ready?

I am going to Canada soon and all that I see on the internet says that by AIR I need a passport as of this year, but by land or sea (I will be going on a cruise in the winter so I want to know as well) I won't need one until 2008?

Anyone read any conflicting info on this? I don't want to drive to the border and not have a passport if I have to have it. The trip is farely soon so I won't have time to get one.

I will for the cruise just to be safe but any info would be helpful.

Thanks

Is it true, that if you have a Canadian Citizenship you can go to any other country in the world? Is it possible to have a US citizenship and Canadian citizenship at the same time?
Thank you!

We will be there at the end of July and will have a group of 7 people with us including one 10 year old. Any other suggestions for fun activities in Whistler would be appreciated as well. Thanks.

I am now in Montreal. I want to go with my girlfriend to Toronto and spend at least a day there. I want to stop at Niagara Falls for at least a few hours or enough to take some pictures and enjoy the view. The stop at Niagara Falls may be in the return trip. Please advise me on which bus company to buy the tickets from so that the trip is as cheap as possible. Give me any other advise that you think is important. Thanks a lot!!

I applied for my Canadian passport over 10 weeks ago and still haven't gotten it back. I was told 10 weeks was the max because of the recent increase in demand. I have tried calling but the phone lines are busy or disconnected. I have called my local government representative and they can't even get through on the phone. I need my passport to go on exchange for school and I need it now. Any ideas????

Is it $50/person per day before any duties? Sometimes they will allow more.

Applied for new Canadian passports from the USA. Passport office received application on 13 March 2007. Have not received new passport as yet.

Problem is that we are moving to another state next week and the address on the application is my current address (where the new passports will be sent). I do not want the passport office sending the new passport to my current address.

Is there a number where I can call to give new address?

Thanks
