If you are from a country that requires a visa to visit Canada, you will need to apply for a visa with Canada Visa and Immigration before visiting Canada.

Once you have a Permanent Resident Status in the U.S. and green card in hand, you can visit Canada without a visa.

what is in progress ? u have to have your green card in order to visit
