In order to move from the U.S. to Canada, you must go throu8gh t he immigration process, which will take 1-3+ years and cost around $1,200 in application fees and associated costs.

There are several classes of immigration, the most likely of which you would be using is that of "skilled worker" or "family class".

This website has all the information you need to apply, including a self assessment on the skilled worker section to see if you qualify.

If you are wanting to move to Canada to be with someone you have a relationship with, you have to be married in order to be sponsored under family class. If you have other relatives in Canada, they, too, can sponsor you.

It isn't hard to move from the USA to Canada. Best advise to check with the Canadian embassy which could help speed up the process there for you. It is kind of colder in Canada than in the USA, but Vancouver and Victoria British Columbia, on Canada's west coast usually have the same type of winters Seattle Washington has. If you want a seaside life, I would suggest the Atlantic Provinces-- Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island or Newfoundland. All four are very friendly with people and growth potential for jobs.

Try to adjust to the new government. They are a bit different and also be prepared for colder weather. It's not super hard to move to Canada because there the U.S. neighbor and also a great friend. If your going to move anywhere move near the ocean because the waves will bring in the heat especially the pacific ocean but be aware. Alaska takes up most of it.
