Looking for hotel recomendations in Butuan. I have searched the internet and the nearest hotels that come up are in Cagayan de Oro. I am sure there must be some diecent hotels in Butuan, also is there ferry service from Cebu to Butuan? If anyone has been to Butuan anything you can tell me about it would be helpfull

I am in the Philippines with my filipina wife and her friends and family always speak to each others in Tagalog around me and I find it frusterating. Is it too rude of me to ask them to speak in English in my presants? They know both I only know English.

I'm writing a letter to one of my cousins in the Philippines and I wanted to attach something special to it....(I live in the US). Nothing too too big--just something I can easily put in a regular-sized envelope. Does anyone have any ideas for some type of small souvenir from the US that some one in the Philippines would enjoy? I noticed last time I was there many people getting drugs over-the-counter at places like the mall pharmacies. Can I just go to a pharmacy there and ask for viagra and act like a dumb American?
Some tell me that they will sell it to me maybe at a higher price.
